Pock nodded. "It is," she said. And it was. She could stay here, aboard the ship she loved, with the man she loved. It was an incredibly fortuitous development, and of course she was grateful, but it just... it didn't make sense. Her father? Why?

Jim moved to stand before her and pulled her to her feet. "We'll deal with your father helping us later, okay? But for now, we're going to send a message to our counterparts and let them know, then we're going to go back to one of our quarters and relax."

Pock nodded, meeting his eyes. She smirked up at him, eyes tired. "Of course, ashaya," she said. "I believe relaxation would indeed be best." She placed her hands gently against his shoulders. "I am relieved, I must admit, Jim."
